The new version of whatsapp actualy makes it super easy to export your contacts via whatsapp web. However,there is a non conventional way to export data without going through whatsapp web portal. Here are the steps (pls note that you must have some knowledge of how to use Microsoft Excel):-
- Open your whatsapp group page you want to export.
- Click on the menu bar (top right). You will see options drop down.
- Click on more . You will see "email Chat".
- Click email chat
- Attach the chat to your email, send.
- Go to the email sent to and download
- You get a complete data with all chats in history. Plus phone numbers .
- You can copy the file from Microsoft to excel.
- Filter desired data by using excel features (replace and concat) or as you desire.
- Voila
