The amount for processing drivers license varies depending on the number of years applied for. (3yrs or 5yrs). I did renewal for 3 years and it cost 8,500 as a against the 6, 500 that you keep hearing from road safety. So for a new one just budget between 18k to 20k.

Why should renewal cost that much? Was the expired one authentic? Did you do it yourself or you engaged the services of a middleman?

You will need to attach a photocopy of the expired licence to your application for renewal. Once it has been vetted as authentic,you will be directed to make payment to the bank (#6000 for a three year licence or #10000 for a five year licence).

Wow... for real? I didn't do it myself. Used a middleman I guess that's why it cost me that much. Maybe mine is a 5years license. I'll confirm from the guy that is helping me. Did you do urs in Lagos?

I have done data capture since February 2016, up till now, my original license isn't ready, been carrying temporary license since then. Any hint on how to get the main license from FRSC? I don tire for FRSC Benin.

Re issue is your case just in form of renewal.
All you need to do is remember your name on it and your date of birth.
Just walk into any of our offices and give those informations. As long as it's original, it will be tracked.
