Nigeria’s Findworka.com overhauls website to become Africa’s Freelancer.com

Findworka.com, launched last year in May by Dele Bakare, Okuofo Odehi and Wilfred Ekpo, is Nigeria’s platform connecting developers, copy writers and designers to clients from different parts of the country, the site has gone full blown on becoming a freelancing marketplace for every online gig out there.

Ekpo says the the platform aims to allow freelancers to search for better projects or clients as well as allow clients to post projects and find the best available hands to work on them at a competitive price; just like Freelancer.com does.

According to Ekpo, the new website ships with exciting new features for freelancers such as better user experience, improved search options, optimised chat experience, easier payment experience, better mobile experience and enhanced functionalities. Freelancers sign up, search for projects, bid for them and if they win and complete are paid online by the platform.

Clients on the other hand search for different freelancers offering the service that they need. Browse through their profiles, check their ratings and check their previous work. The platform also helps them to manage their projects easily from anywhere and at anytime via their client dashboard where they can view projects status and chat with freelancers and create milestones or share files without leaving their dashboard.

For those clients who have no time and don’t want to search around the site, Findworka can outsource the services for them on their behalf using Findworka Premium.

“Paying on Findworka is simple and secure once you’re satisfied with the project status,” says Ekpo. “You can pay at the end or after completing agreed milestones. You pay Findworka and Findworka pays the service provider only after you mark the project as completed.”

Like Freelancer.com, the client cannot pay the freelancer until the task is complete and payments approved. The payments remain safe in the freelancer wallet and can only be withdrawn once the client approves them.
