Good diction is not Imitation accents
The desperation of channels TV presenters to look and sound foreign is truly very pathetic.

Who else has noticed that they deliberately mispronounce Nigerian names?

Is it classy to be unable to speak your mother tongue correctly?? Educate me pls...

While there's absolutely no reason for a Nigerian to deliberately mispronounce Nigerian names, it is still a well known fact that Channels TV remains the best TV station in Nigeria.

I think the op is right on this.... Inasmuch as we love speaking queens English or using all forms of foreign accent to report news..is never an encouragement not to be able to pronounce local names correctly... Am talking our mother's tongue...is totally not welcomed.

Cuddles to channels TV for constant news report.
