First, a quick warning.
Once I share with you these three culprits they will seem obvious and non-threatening.

But that’s exactly the reason why they are so deadly!

Give each one proper consideration. Ask yourself how it might be impacting you and your business. Here we go…

1) Not having the RIGHT KNOW-HOW.

I find it insulting when people say stupid stuff like “I’m smart – I should know it.”

Look, you might be a genius, but that doesn’t mean you should know how to perform brain surgery; that requires specific know-how and specialized training!

Solution: You might be a firecracker technician, but you must study and master marketing and the “business of running a business” — or your business will never grow!

Time and again my students tell me they wish they had made the investment of time, energy and money to develop their “marketing muscles” a lot sooner! Don’t make the same mistake.

2) Being ISOLATED.

If you ever feel like people just “don’t get you” and you are “going it alone” – welcome to the club!

One of the most frequently repeated comments from my live event participants and coaching program members is “I feel like I finally belong”!

Because they feel understood and “at home” in the group of other success-minded, motivated entrepreneurs.

Solution: Seek out programs and groups that attract the kind of people you want to hang out with – and join them!

Surround yourself with other successful entrepreneurs so you can openly discuss your businesses and ask each other for help!

By the way, if you’re not sure where to start, apply to have a chat with me, or one of my Business Growth Advisers and we’ll point you in the right direction.

3) Not TAKING CALCULATED RISKS.

Successful people challenge themselves by taking bigger risks.

They risk looking stupid, making a mistake, and “failing”. Except they don’t consider it a failure, but a “learning opportunity”.

Wannabe’s would rather feel safe and cling on to status quo. They dream big, but don’t do much. WHY?

Because planning stage is a safe stage.

And when they finally do move towards their goals, they always have a “back door” open, setting themselves up for missing their goals from the very get go!

That approach will only get you to where you already are – not an inch further no matter how much harder you work.

Solution: Think bigger, but start smaller!

Set scary big goals and “burn the ships” so that failure is not option. And immediately start working on the first small step that you can take right away.

So do a quick self assessment.

See how well you score on your marketing know-how, whether you have the right type of support, and if you’re brave enough to not just dream, but really do what it takes.

And, if you’re ready to play a bigger game, gain the right info and hang out with wicked smart peeps
