Saraki Reacts Angrily As NLC And TUC Go On Protest March by uneeking(m): 7:44pm On Feb 09, 2017
After watching from the sidelines as ordinary Nigerians took to the streets in protest against the government policies and actions for some time now, The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) on Thursday finally came out of their shells to stage a protest at the National Assembly complex, Abuja, over the rising cost of living in Nigeria.

The Nigerian Labour Congress Chairman, Ayuba Wabba in his speech, said the groups were protesting the delay in the upward review of minimum wage amidst increasing cost of goods and services in the country.

“We are here to demand for good governance and express our support in the fight against corruption.

“More importantly, we demand for respect for rule of law, greater accountability and transparency in governance,” Mr. Wabba said.
