Ugbade: Gabriel Jesus Not Better Than Iheanacho by Princefrankie1(m): 10:09am On Feb 10, 2017 |
By Richard Jideaka, Abuja: Former Nigeria defender and ex-assistant coach of the Nigeria U-17 World Cup winning team, Nduka Ugbade does not believe that Gabriel Jesus is better than Kelechi Iheanacho at Manchester City, Completesportsnigeria.com reports. Reacting to the relegation of the Nigerian youth sensation to just a squad player at English Premier League side, Manchester City, Ugbade claims that Iheanacho has scored better goals than what Jesus has done for the Citizens "I don't think Iheanacho was justly dropped from recent match day squad because of poor form, but because coach Pep Guardiola does not like the young Nigerian. I don't think Gabriel Jesus who is the rave in Manchester now is better than Iheanacho," the former Reno Stars coach tells Completesportsnigeria.com . "What Gabriel is doing now for Man City scoring goals, has been done previously by Iheanacho. Given equal opportunity, the young Nigerian is a better player and I strongly believe that he will get better." Asked if it will be wise for Iheanacho to change club and have more playing time, Ugbade advises, "I want Kelechi to fight for his place in the team to the end of the season after and see if the situation will remain unchanged." Ugbade stresses that Iheanacho has the potential to become a big player with time, that he just needs playing time to develop his game. http://www.completesportsnigeria.com/ugbade-gabriel-jesus-not-better-iheanacho/

RotgakSlay: Guardiola hating on African players? How? Is Toure not an African player? Do you know how many matches Iheanacho has played this season for Mancity? Even in some games when Aguero was fit and ready to play, he had to be on the bench for Iheanacho to play. How many coaches in big clubs can start a striker like Iheanacho in an Epl or Champions League game? A mediocre player at that. Will Iheanacho even make the bench at Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool or Tottenham? Tell yourself the truth man. To me, Guardiola is being so nice to Iheanacho. Because he is a coach who believes in young upcoming players. The truth is, Iheanacho doesn't have the quality to even make the Manchester City bench for Epl games. He is overrated. As for Manchester City sacking Guardiola, you can only wish!! ¶Say that you want me ® All of the time ® Say that you need me ® Always be mine ® Cos we've got Guardiola, We've got Guardiola¶¶ |

Ighoga898: No mind that xenophobe. Because Gabriel Jesus is not from Nigeria. Talking about goals, na all dose tap in from 5 yards wey Iheanacho dey score be goals. Of all the goals Iheanacho has scored for Mancity first team, how many was scored from outside the 18 yard box? How many are solo goals? None! Person go tap into empty net una go say na great player. Try watch YouTube videos of Jesus for Palmerias and Brazil, you can't compare that guys potential with Iheanacho's. |

Princefrankie1: saying it base on how he treatd Toure in city...... neva belivd in him not until d day he gave him 2 goals now substituting nacho for yaya. na only dem dy d team |
Re: Ugbade: Gabriel Jesus Not Better Than Iheanacho by Princefrankie1(m): 11:50am On Feb 10, 2017 |
RotgakSlay: Toure's case is different bro. When Guardiola first came to city, Toure was overweight, same with Nasri. So pep gave them a special training drill to loose weight. There was no problem with Toure, until his agent Seluk caused trouble with his rantings. Then pep said if Toure's agent don't appologise to the club, Toure wasn't gonna play again. There was no animosity between Pep and Toure before. And as for you saying he never believed in Toure until he scored 2 goals, that sounds ridiculous. You forgot he used Toure at Barcelona, so he knows the quality of Yaya. Toure only left Barcelona because Pep used Bosquets more. Which is understandable. Please always dig up facts before you conclude on issues. Don't always be Prejudicial in your judgements. YOLLO 1 Like |

Princefrankie1:Iheanacho wouldn't even hold down a regular place in average teams like Everton, Southampton, Stoke city, etc. It still baffles me why Man City have not loaned him till date. 1 Like |

Re: Ugbade: Gabriel Jesus Not Better Than Iheanacho by Nobody: 7:37pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
Princefrankie1:iheanacho is better than iwobi and rashford. its just that he was never meant to be a striker.he was meant to be a goalscoring midfielder like lampard or mata. check all the games he has played for nigeria as a midfielder. check his first pre season for mancity where he played as a midfielder. the guy should reset himself before he ruin his career. |

supergata:Gbam Iheanacho is not a born striker but either coach or someone else (himself inclusive) wants to make him one overnight, and his dad is not helping the matter at all. Let him play his natural position and see his wonderful skill |

Ighoga898:I can't believe you so blind to this extent Nacho's role was switched to be a sub for Agu under Pelegrini in the event of injury to Agu. That's the reason Pelegrini gave him ample play time so he could settle into his new role. Nacho is a supporting striker who loves playing behind tops. It's unfortunate some top clubs gamble by remoulding player's role to fit their plan, some work well while many don't . Nacho error is starting big instead of going for a less competitive club where he could have established his natural role so when any big club comes for him, it will be difficult to remould his role. Nacho is a rare dangerous left footer attacking mid fielder ever produced by Nigeria and loaning him to a club that sees his natural role will bring out the deadliness in that left foot, just like Conte did to Moses. I believe he will bounce back very soon but maybe not under Pep. |

oloriooko:but in all honesty do u really believe he's better Dan Gabriel Jesus. |
Re: Ugbade: Gabriel Jesus Not Better Than Iheanacho by Nobody: 6:20pm On Feb 11, 2017 |
Ighoga898:yes but only when played in his natural role. |
Re: Ugbade: Gabriel Jesus Not Better Than Iheanacho by oloriooko(m): 6:26pm On Feb 11, 2017 |
Ighoga898:You don't compare players whose natural roles are different and mind you nacho broke into city with no club experience whereas Gabby has played for palmeiras in Brazil. I think nacho has given a good account of his potentials with no club experience. The guy is a bundle of talent waiting to be unleashed on the football world. I don't compare players I appreciate them cuz every player is unique |
