Mosque In A Church Premises: Can Osun Residents Confirm This? Please! by paschu: 5:46pm On Feb 10, 2017 |
So I explained to someone on Sunday that Islam is not a religion but a system of government (complete with its own judicial, political, social, economic and religious philosophies) which is widely opposed to the western system of government. I also explained to her that Islam NEEDS absolute political and judicial domination to thrive in its pure form - and for that reason it cannot perpetually co-exist harmoniously with an opposing system of government in any society. It will always seek to suplant the existing political/judicial structures in order to gain dominant control over the prevailing political/judicial system. Thus, a pure adherence to the political and judicial aspects of Islam tends to breed extremism. I also highlighted the fact that the reason southern Nigeria moslems tend to coexist peacfully with non-moslems is because they practice only the religious aspect of Islam without adhering to its political and judicial philosophies. The fact that there are no Islamic political/judicial structures anywhere in the south attests to the earlier assertion. However, I was stunned this afternoon when I stumbled on the following narrative in a Christian Whatsapp group. The story is about what's said to be currently going on in Osun state. PRAY FOR CHRISTIANS IN OSUN. Of course I know that there's a load of biases in the writeup, but I would like you guys to at least confirm the bolded parts. Thank you. |

Instead of asking people here why can't you go there for yourself in order to get the fact. Talking about hijab, it's can only be mandatory for the Muslims even if you don't want to use it as a Muslim you are free to go but saying Christians were asked to use hijab is what I don't believe. Another thing is that I don't think most of you guys have been to Northern Nigeria before because what we have here is different from what you have in the east where you hardly see a mosque. Here in the North we have alot of church from every Corner. The only thing that always cause problems and we always overlook it is for Christians to be preaching their religion to Muslims. I know most of you can not travel down north but if you can come to Ilorin where 99% of the indigene are Muslims and we have churches more than mosque in this area and no one is complaining. Apart from preaching to us in school, around the town some christians will even come to Ilorin central mosque on Friday during the time of jumuat to preach but people will still try and caution them. So Muslims still remains a better neighbour to me to leave with without disturbing one another. |
