The management of the University of Uyo now has a lot to contend with as the students of the school have staged a protest over armed robbery incident of last night.

The unknown gunmen who mounted the three major entrances of the CBN Hall were reported to had made away with Laptops and several phones belonging to the students who came to read in preparation for their forthcoming exams scheduled to have started today.

The bandits reportedly raped some female students before leaving with their loots.

With the protests rocking the school, the management of the school and the SUG have concluded that the exams earlier scheduled for today be cancelled and rescheduled for another day yet to be pronounced.

Meanwhile, an emergency management meeting has been called to discussed this issue. In an address presented by VC through the CSO of the institution, students are advised to remain calm as investigations to bring these unknown gunmen to face the law is ongoing.

Also, students that had been robbed of any materials were also told to get their names and the names of their stolen property written and forwarded to the school.
