British royalty joined the Hollywood elite for a star-studded Bafta ceremony as Prince William and wife Kate joined film's finest at the Royal Albert Hall.

Viola Davis and Nicole Kidman arrived in coats but took them off to pose for the cameras, however a clever Daisy Ridley arrived in matching Roland Mouret short formal dresses and jacket combo that she kept firmly on her shoulders.

However the likes of Nicole Kidman, Emma Stone and Sophie Turner dared to bare, despite the chill, in a selection of frocks with plunging necklines. Here are the looks you need to see.

The Duchess of Cambridge wore a stunning black floral embellished off the shoulder gown by her favourite ‘go to’ designer Alexander McQueen.

Naomi looked like a princess in a frilly feminine Gucci gown with ornate floral detail at the waist line.

The La La Land star looked gorgeous and girlie in an intricate silver Chanel midi dress with a lace overlay and plunging neckline.

Amy looked sleek and elegant in a green strapless Tom Ford gown that plunged down at the back and was held in place with a giant velvet bow.

Emily made a dramatic entrance in a heavily embroidered Alexander McQueen gown with a dramatic black frilly skirt with a sheer panel at the side that showed off her legs.

Nicole wore a slinky embellished halter neck Armani Prive gown that was slashed to the waist to reveal her luxurious Harry Winston diamond necklace.

Viola arrived in a black coat but took it off to reveal her bespoke Jenny Packham gown made from flowing ribbons in shades of blue silk chiffon.

Proving that less is more Felicity opted for a simple black floaty chiffon Christian Dior gown.

Author J K Rowling went for old school glamour in a deep red gown Roland Mouret gown with a side split and statement diamond earrings that matched her clutch bag.
