Don’t say such things”, the people respond. “Don’t prophesy like that. Such disaster will never come our way!”

When you preach the true word of God to them, telling them the curses of God on prostitutes, God’s judgment on wicked people, murderers and other sinners, they will tell you that it is not true, that such cannot happen to them even though they continue in their evil ways and deeds.

God is asking, “Should you take talk that way, family of Israel? Will the Lord’s Spirit have patience with such behavior? If you would do what is right, you would find my words comforting” Micah 2:7

Yes if you are doing the right thing and I preach to you about pending disasters that God is warning you of, you won’t be afraid and you won’t feel offended but you will be glad at receiving the message of God. But if you are doing evil you will be displeased when the message of God is brought to you. You will argue that is not for you even when you are as guilty as guilt!

Your sins that God is talking about includes, opposing the commandments of the Most High God, stealing from and oppressing the poor, people who puts their trust in you, people who entrusted you with their resources, widows, orphans and others. And you prefer the prophets that are full of lies that will tell you contrary things to the word of God (Read Micah 3:8-11)

God is telling you to desist from these behaviors today. Don’t think because you have been doing it for years, decades and nothing has happened then you believe nothing will happen. Sorry, God is only delaying your judgment day with the hope that you will repent. But if you refuse to repent and continue your murderous acts, God’s punishment will come upon you sooner than you can imagine!
Ask God for pardon today; ask Him to forgive you of your sins, your murdering, prostituting, adultery, idolatry and fornicating.
