A major Non-Governmental Organization located in Port Harcourt is looking to recruit for the position of Operations/Technical Officer to be stationed in their Abuloma office.
1. Required Skills & Qualifications
i. A Good First Degree
ii. Relevant work experience
iii. A minimum of two (2) years of experience working on complex, high-speed and challenging operations in transition environments;
iv. Experience with activity design, development, and implementation, and close-out;
v. Basic understanding of accounting skills.
vi. Exceptional written skills;
vii. Exceptional organization skills and ability to work and multi-task under pressure;
viii. Exceptional analysis, logical reasoning and presentation skills, enabling training and capacity building of team members;
ix. Very Strong ICT skills to cover for program internal and external presentations with special reference to graphic skills.
x. Fluency in written and oral English is required

2. Job Summary / Responsibilities:

i. Manages the operational and strategic functions for the department to ensure compliance and efficiency with company SOPs.
ii. Actively collaborate with the Programs Manager to raise funds for the organization
iii. Improve the operational systems, processes and policies in support of organizations mission - specifically, support better management reporting, information flow and management, business process and organizational planning
iv. Ensures the development of proper training and documentation for functional areas.
v. Provides recommendations and consults with management on projects and strategic goals.
vi. Develops and implements new or revised policies and procedures for internal use.
vii. Provides full oversight for projects/programs including project scope and management of cross functional project teams.
viii. Basic Accounting reporting for operational activities of the NGO.
ix. Builds and trains staff on policies and procedures to achieve department and organizational goals.
x. ICT operations covering graphics, social media management, etc.
xi. Perform any other duties, assigned at any time by the Executive Director or any Member of the Board acting in the capacity of the Executive Director.
