As South Africans unleash another rounds of xenophobic attacks on Nigerians living in their countries, it is pertinent that young South Africans are reminded of certain aged long facts of how Nigeria was at the forefront of helping South Africans gain their freedom from the sick apartheid regime. So when they say go back to your country, black South Africans must also know that this country of theirs that they are so proud of today was once a land of turmoil and sorrow especially for blacks and the fathers and great grand fathers of those Nigerians they now ask to leave their country paid part of the price that brought them freedom. They stood with Mandela and the South African people all through their travails. Sadly, their offspring have refuse to stand with their children today and have rather paid them back with death and evil even without any wrong doing on the Nigerian side.
