Manager Claudio Ranieri has been sacked by the Leicester City Club Management according to reports reaching our News Desk. This is coming on the heels of recent criticism of the club’s performance so far especially in the British Premier League games.

Recent results show that Leicester City have lost seven of their last nine matches, including Wednesday’s Champions League last-16 first leg against Sevilla, while a return of just five wins in 25 league matches has left them one point above the relegation zone.

The encouraging performance in Wednesday’s 2-1 loss notwithstanding, the club managementhas decided to part company with the manager who led them to title glory only nine months ago.

“Leicester City Football Club has tonight [Thursday] parted company with its first team Manager, Claudio Ranieri,” the club said in a statement.
