Well, I don't play this game at all, but the first time I saw it, I had strong JSRF vibes. It's much much different though. So I was doing some reading and found out that the newest character in the game, is well, Nigerian, if you want to see a giant robot as having a nationality. Well, Efi Oladele, the girl who created the Orisa, in-game, is Nigerian. The only person I know who plays Overwatch anyway, is cao. So she might be interested in this. http://m.gamerevolution.com/news/overwatch-reveals-new-hero-orisa-created-by-efi-oladele-doomfist-ptr-39607 |

Technically, she's from Numbani, the fictional African city in Overwatch, but you know oyinbos like to use Nigerian names whenever they get the chance. Although, it's apparently somewhere near Nigeria, according to the Overwatch wiki. Anywho, we've got a new tank! Yes! UPDATE: Oh and Nigeria existed during the Omnic Crisis, but it may not exist anymore in the current Overwatch timeline. Darn Omnic Crisis... 3 Likes |

cao: Why does this FPS game have an actual lore or story u follow like some well written rpg? I thought the point to this game is to randomly shoot at ur enemy's platoon with ur own m8s to gain the highest number of score points in the shortest possible time. Now that u mentioned that one of the characters is from africa, may I also ask why (referring to something in the past that I read buried up in here from u) some characters in the game are gay Heck, how does that benefit the game? it's an FPS, is the lesbian suddenly light-on-the-trigger against similar sexed characters in the game? Do some characters make out amidst the shooting? |

Cao is technically the only person in a sea of ppl(mostly those who voted in favour of it winning the game of the year award ) that we have no idea about that crave this game HyDef: |

Re: Orisa Is The New Character In Overwatch! by cao(f): 8:11pm On Mar 04, 2017 |
Silkmoth:This is not Call of Duty, this is an actual team based FPS. This one you're talking about sexuality, I've no idea who the characters hook up with, so this one that you said you heard from me, you better reevaluate and kindly point out to me where I said so. This is a Blizzard title, of course it's going to have its own lore, na their bread and butter. So get off whatever high horse you're on. 2 Likes |

Hm! I could have sworn I saw it in here. I'm not mad!!!, stop sounding grouchy. I'm not pissed at the fact that some game characters have weird sexual orientations (even tho my words are constructed differently). If anything, I actually find it astonishing . There is nothing wrong if anyone perceives(wrongly/correctly) a character to be gay or not!(captain price was metrosexual) I'm not trying to put u on the spot here for playing a game. I'm basically trying to see how we can praise blizzard's ingenuity. I'm not some pitbull hell incarnate waiting to murder you! ild never do anything to spite u. When I mentioned ppl voting, I actually didn't mean u and as nunnally would tell her big brother lulouche lampourage I love you! forget the horse called roach and my emoticons https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/comic-riffs/wp/2016/12/23/the-wildly-popular-overwatch-says-a-main-character-is-gay-will-this-be-a-step-forward-for-video-games/?utm_term=.fdae250e2ff7 cao:

Blizzard created so much lore for Overwatch that it always pains me that there is no campaign mode. Silkmoth, just watch one of their shorts (Dragons, Alive, Infiltration etc) and it will pain you with how much backstory they've created. They also have comics sef. 1 Like |

Short movies and comics of the FPS game huh! They really did put alot into the project. I guess i shouldn't consider it strange that ubisoft did a similar stunt with "Tom clancy's: the division"; then again ubisoft and their quick tendency to make anything cinema related. Unlike CD projekt red and bethesda Or DICE cao: |

Silkmoth:Blizzard take their story telling and world building very seriously. See World of Warcraft, StarCraft, Diablo etc. Plus, this was their first original IP in 17 years, bearing in mind this was after they cancelled their MMORPG Titan in 2014 before its release. Overwatch got released in 2016. As a Hail Mary pass (aka last chance), they did very well. |
Re: Orisa Is The New Character In Overwatch! by iamXero(m): 6:35pm On Mar 07, 2017 |
Silkmoth: The game is like a MMO an online multi-player game, really team oriented you accomplish team specific goals based on the type of mode given to you (king of the hill, escort etc) no mindless shooting and K/D ratio, every character created in the game has a back story (and that doesn't affect how they play), Blizzard even created shorts for them IIRC and a character being gay has nothing to do with how he/she play( I'm sure you're referring to Tracer) She was confirmed to be gay and still one of the most used (my favourite even) character because of her speed and special ability to rewind time. It's one of the best games out there to be honest, but it requires online always as being a Nigerian that one hard small. Hahahahaha |
