7 mistakes New parents make:

The top 7 mistakes new parents make during baby’s first year and how to avoid them.
The 7 mistakes new parents make as newbies in parenting. Everyone makes mistakes… Teens, Singles, Married, even seniors that are old school in the game of life. So for new Parents, it is acceptable to make mistakes. But the problem is when they learn from their mistakes or when they don’t learn from experiences of other parents.

When we look at our parents and the mistakes they make trying to raise us through the way they know best, you will no doubt come up with a laundry list of things they did wrong.

Nobody is always effective or incapable of doing wrong, especially new parents. But if you know the 7 mistakes new parents make, then you can definitely keep from making them yourself.

So there are the 7 mistakes New parents make during baby’s first year….

Panicking over anything and Everything
Many new parent always overreact when they notice their baby spitting up, vomiting etc, and the baby picks up on that anxiety.

A mom I know that just put to bed, she actually thought she might break the baby. Lols. While its true your new baby is so small and so cute, he/she isn’t as fragile as you think. You do not need to worry too much about breaking the baby in half or about the constant spitting or the vomiting… as long as you keep the baby’s neck supported and continue to handle him with tender loving care, you will be both fine.

New parents can waste the entire first year of their baby’s life by worrying about the small stuff.

So for new parents, I advise you to get an Emotional – and Literal – grip, and be surprised how you will soon be handling your newborn like a pro, or like a nurse.

So my fellow Health trackers, what are your worries for your new baby.

Neglecting Oral Care
Many new parents don’t think about their newborn’s teeth or oral health until it is too late. Your baby is never too young for you to start encouraging good oral health habits.

Some new parents used to say “oh, they are just baby teeth”. Good, healthy baby teeth will pave the way for good healthy adult teeth. And by helping children to take care of their teeth, you are starting a habit that will last them all their lives.

When a baby is born, the first set of teeth is already there, just under the gums. The arrival of a baby’s first tooth is always an exciting time.

The front teeth usually begin to come through the gum between 6 – 12 months. Over the next 2 years, the remaining baby teeth will appear. By the time the child is 3 years old, all 20 baby teeth will have arrived. These teeth are very important for eating, talking and smiling.

Here are some tips to help new parents:

Don’t give your infant milk in bed once teeth have erupted, this will increase the risk of developing cavities. Cavities are also known as baby bottle decay.
It is important that your child is getting enough fluoride. Fluoride is naturally found in water and it helps prevent cavities.
Sugar and Sugary foods can be a tooth’s worst enemy. Babies will enjoy home-made baby foods without sugar. So if you are buying baby foods, look for the ones without sugar. For very young babies, you should dilute juice with plenty of cooled boiled water. The best way of caring for a baby’s teeth is to give them food that helps a baby grow and develop.

So my fellow Health trackers, want to know more about your baby’s oral health?

We get it, falling asleep on the sofa with an infant curled up on your chest is one of the best feelings in the world. Exhausted new moms has nodded off for a bit while her sleeping baby is sprawled
