QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND REMUNERATION

ASSISTANT LECTURER- CUASS 02

Candidates applying for this position must have Master’s degree in the relevant discipline from recognized institutions.

LECTURER II-CUASS 03

Candidates applying for this position must have PhD degree in the relevant discipline from recognized institution(s). Candidates without PhD degree are to have at least four (4) publications including two (2) Journal Articles in addition to a satisfactory Doctoral degree progress report. He/ She must have cognate teaching experience of not less than three (3) years.

LECTURER I -CUASS 04

Candidates applying for this position must have PhD degree in the relevant discipline and have to his/her credit, a minimum of eight ( publications including four (4) journal articles. Candidates without PhD Degree could be considered with a good Doctoral degree progress report and ten (10) publications including six (6) journal articles. He/ She must have cognate teaching experience of not less than three (3) years.



SENIOR LECTURER – CUASS 05

Candidates applying for this position must have PhD degree in the relevant discipline and must have a minimum of six (6) years teaching experience. He must also have to his/her credit a minimum of fourteen (14) publications including eight ( journal articles.

NON-TEACHING POSITIONS

REGISTRY DEPARTMENT

(i) DEPUTY REGISTRAR (LEGAL)-CUNAS 14

A good Bachelor of Law degree (LL.B) with at least Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University and Barrister of Law (B.L) plus a Masters’ degree in relevant discipline and must have a minimum of twelve (12) years cognate experience in a University or an institution of comparable status.

(ii.) PRINCIPAL INTERNAL AUDITOR-CONAS 11

B.Sc. degree in Accounting, with a minimum of Second Class ( Lower Division) from a recognized University, plus nine (9) years cognate experience in a University or an equivalent institution.

(iii.) SENIOR ASSISTANT REGISTRAR-CUNAS 11

A good Honours degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University plus a minimum of nine (9) years cognate experience in a University or an institution of comparable status. Computer literacy is compulsory.
A good Honours degree with at least Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University plus a Masters’ degree in relevant discipline; and must have a minimum of six (6) years cognate experience in a University or an institution of comparable status.

(iv.) ACCOUNTANT II-CUNAS 07

B.Sc. degree in Accounting with at least Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University.

(v.) ENGINEER II (CIVIL)-CUNAS 07

Candidates must possess a good Honours degree in Civil Engineering with at least a Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University. The candidate must be registered with COREN.

(vi) TECHNOLOGIST II- CUNAS 07

Microbiology
Industrial Chemistry

Candidates for this position must posses Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution and must have a Full Technologist Certificate (Technician) of the City & Guilds in relevant field OR A. I. S. T/ N. I. S. T

(vii.) ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH OFFICER II – CUNAS 07

Candidates must possess a good Honours degree in Environmental Health or any other relevant discipline with minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) from a recognized University. The candidate must be registered with the Nigerian Environmental Health Council.

(viii.) SENIOR SUPERVISOR (HOUSEKEEPING UNIT) – CUNAS 07

Candidates for this position shall be expected to have a good Honours degree with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in any of the Social Sciences, Management or Humanities.

(ix.) HIGHER LIBRARY OFFICER- CUNAS 07

Higher National Diploma (HND) in Library Studies with at least Lower Credit from a recognized institution.
National Diploma (ND) or University Diploma in Library Studies with at least Lower Credit from a recognized institution and must have a minimum of six (6) years cognate experience in an academic or research Library.

(x.) NURSING OFFICER II-CUNAS 07

Candidate must possess any of:

A good Honours Bachelor degree with a minimum of Second Class (Lower Division) in Nursing from a recognized University and must be registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Council of Nigeria.
Nigerian Registered Nurse (NRN) and/ or Registered Midwife (RM) or State Certified Midwife (SCM) certificate from recognized institutions.

(xi.) EXECUTIVE OFFICER (BURSARY UNIT)-CUNAS 06

National Diploma (ND) with a minimum of Lower Credit or ICAN-ATS or other equivalent certificate from a recognized institution, plus three (3) years post-qualification cognate experience in a University or an equivalent institution

(xii.) CHIEF SECURITY ASSISTANT – CUNAS 06

Candidates for this position must be an Ex-police Office or its equivalents with a minimum of six years cognate experience. He must have at least a Diploma in the relevant discipline, such as Criminology.

(xiii.) HEALTH TECHNICIAN-CUNAS 06

Health Technician Certificate from a recognized institution.

(xiv.) SENIOR TECHNICAL ASSISTANT II- CUNAS 04

WASC plus Credit in Mathematics and a Science subject OR Secondary Modern III or Class IV Certificate plus, Trade Centre Diploma or relevant Trade Test Class I with at least 3 years experience

(xv.) CHIEF PORTER (HOUSEKEEPING UNIT) – CUNAS 04

Candidates must possess a minimum of WASC/SSCE/NECO/GCE – ‘O’ Level with five (5) credits which must include English Language or Teacher Grade II certificate with merit in English Language with at least (3) years experience.

(xvi.) SENIOR PORTER (HOUSEKEEPING UNIT) - CUNAS 03

Candidate must possess a minimum of WASC/SSCE/

NECO/ GCE-OL with five (5) credits which must include

English Language or Teacher Grade II Certificate with

Merit in English Language.



(xvii.) LABORATORY ATTENDANT-CUNAS 03

Candidate must possess a minimum of WASC/SSCE/GCE-OL/NECO with five (5) credits which must include English Language and two science subjects.

(xviii.) MOTOR DRIVER/ MECHANIC II - CUNAS 03

Primary six Certificate plus Class ‘E’ Drivers’ License with three (3) years experience; or Primary Six Certificate plus ‘E’ Drivers’ License and Class III Trade Test.
