the role of a Junior Editor/Content Writer.

The Role:
We’re looking for a Junior Editor/Content
Writer to
support our Creative Director/Chief Content
Strategist and collaborate on researching,
writing
and editing content for our design-thinking
studio
and client alike. You will be responsible for
drafting
scripts, advertising copies, web content and
blog
articles, amongst other writing deliverables,
and
working with our Creative Director to produce
quality video/audio content. This will include
assisting in all pre and post-production
logistics,
including writing filming briefs and junior
project
management responsibilities. You will also
be
joining as Team Member #3, which means
you’ll
get the prestige & equity that comes with
such a
position. : )
Who You Are:
You have a knack for the written word, an
understanding of online marketing, and
experience
with blogging to achieve data-driven
business
objectives.
Your ability to maintain a company’s voice
across
all blog content and social media channels is
exceptional.
You have an existing portfolio of published
content
to demonstrate your expertise and
compulsive love
of word-smithery
You write with an engaging and active tone,
and
are passionate about readability, research,
and
meeting strict deadlines to serve your
audience
You are results-driven, incredibly organized,
and
willing to go above and beyond the call of
duty
You probably have an understanding of
online
direct response marketing technologies
(sales
funnels, lead capture pages, and online
advertising
mediums)
You love collaboration and believe that it
always
improves the end result.
You have a passion for art, design, business,
entrepreneurship and / or online startups.
You want to make a dent in the universe and
solve
some real problems.
You’re a self-starter, love responsibility and
regularly enjoy taking the initiative.
You’ve got great attention to detail, but that
doesn’t deter you from seeing the bigger
picture.
You most likely attended University of Lagos
and
studied Communication/Media Studies or
English,
graduating last year or the year before that as
one
of the Top 15% in your class.
You were probably a member of the Press
Club or
Literary/Debating Society during your time in
school
You most likely worked as an intern during
your
Youth Service year in an advertising agency
as a
copywriter or in a magazine publishing firm
as a
Junior Writer (not that it’s necessary but it
may be
an added advantage)
You spend a lot of time at places like CCHub
meeting fellow idealists and entrepreneurs
such as
you. This will be beneficial as you will be
introducing them to an online start-up
marketplace
