There's a massive difference between corruption and scarcity of forex. The corruption did not lead to the scarcity.

Abdulsalam's government was very corrupt and they went as far as raiding the foriegn reserves but yet there was no forex scarcity. It was even in 2002 that the CBN authorised that Western Union must be collected in dollars.

Why was there no scarcity? Because the naira was allowed to float. Buhari, whose understanding of economics should give anyone concern as refused to allow the currency to float. As Sanusi said, his policies has not worked anywhere in the world. How can there be a decline in the amount of forex available and expect the exchange rate to remain the same. Its absurd! Even an illiterate Hausa man selling forex will think you've gone bunkers.

When he introduced these policies in June 2015, I wrote off the economy. You should too.

Well, Buhari met the naira falling vs the dollar.....and it was falling because we were running out of forex due to oil prcies falling.

If it wasnt for the restrictive forex polices of the CBN....which people like you opposed...we would have been down to our last $5bn by now.

The best policy was to have allowed the naira to decline naturally. Buhari was against this plunging the economy into a steep recession. The man got away with murder.

How can your forex earnings be going down and you want the exchange rate to remain the same. Even an illiterate Huasa forex trader would laugh at you.

He said he doesn't believe in devaluation. In a sane country, you can't dictate to the Central Bank governor. Sanusi would never accept such nonsense. Someone with non-existent knowledge of economics has no business dictating forex policies!

This was the same thing he did 1983-85 and simply worsened the economy he met. I was there.

Its Good But Its Nt What We Want, We Want The Naira To Return To Its Original Value #1 To $1. #455 Is A Good Start, Hope Buhari Will Listen To Intellects Like V.P Osi, And Keep Things Up In This Path
