The English attitude to diving and cheating means we lose out a few too many times.
In the wake of Barcelona’s victory on Wednesday, it was interesting to compare some of the reactions of people across Europe to the result. Apart from obviously being in amazement at the fact that the comeback happened, it was striking how often people in England (whether it’s on message boards, on the radio, in newspapers) commented on the refereeing decisions, and how much Barcelona cheated in order to win.
