A REPUTABLE FASHION HOUSE IN LEKKI, LAGOS STATE SEEKS TO EMPLOY AN ACCOUNTANT/ PROCUREMENT MANAGER

Description:
We are a high end fashion house based in Lekki Phase 1 seeking to hire an experienced assistant accountant who is keen to progress and learn new skills. This broad role covers everything from bank reconciliations, managing online customer credit card / Paypal payments, through to assisting in the production of the monthly management accounts pack, responsibility for weekly sales reporting and ad hoc projects as required by the Financial Controller. This role would suit a studier Graduate Degree (BSc) or equivalent. with a minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a fast-paced, customer-centric industry, who is seeking a very broad role to complement their studies, or a more experienced finance professional 5-6 years’ experience who is keen to work within a rapidly changing and high growth environment. A strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping, great MS Excel skills (including the use of pivot tables and Lookups) and a keen eye for detail are required to be successful in this role. Previous exposure to working in a dot.com environment is not required but would be an advantage.

Requirements
Company is seeking a qualified accountant with strong commercial experience. Candidate must be a good communicator with demonstrable experience in dealing with senior management staff whilst managing a team of accounting staff.


Job Description
• Experience in a senior accounting / financial control role
• Allocation and review of the overheads across all Brands, ensuring consistency and accuracy of our Cost Centre reporting
• Detailed exposure to reconciliations and variance analysis
• Produce accurate and detailed Cost Centre Reports, developing best practice reporting and gaining buy-in from the business
• Experience with financial accounting tasks including preparing trial balance, management accounts, annual reports, cash flow statements etc
• Experience with designing internal control processes and procedures
• Staff Management responsibilities
