FEMININE FACIAL HAIR: Do Natural Remedies Work? by Xzbit91: 5:51am On Mar 16, 2017
Beards are a natural phenomenon in the male gender, most young men are excited at the prospect of sporting stubble on their chin to emphasize their masculinity and advancement in age but the reverse is the case in the opposite sex. Facial hair in women can be quite embarrassing, asides the fact that they give insulation to our bodies, they also seriously affect our looks.

Undesirable hairs can spring up on our hands, legs, face and torso. So if you are a lady sporting a face full of fuzz, you're not alone!

About 40% of women worldwide naturally have some sort of hair on their faces, though they vary in various degrees. And there are a variety of causes associated with this, ranging from:

1) Hormonal Imbalance
2) Irregular Menstrual Cycle
3) Higher than normal levels of androgen
4) And Testosterone etc.

FUN FACT: "The longest female beard ever recorded was measured at 11.5 inches"

It is one of the commonest problems faced by many women. Men can get away with shaving their beard, mustache and cutting their hair. For women, it is not that simple. There are some common measures which most women must have tried in her lifetime

Natural Home Remedies

There are varieties of natural home remedies, but this article will focus on two based on the ease preparation and accessibility of the ingredients:

Sugar + Lemon Mix: Use 2 tablespoons of sugar, 10 tablespoons of water, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, and one small saucer.
Application: The sugar and water should be mixed in the small saucer; once the sugar solution is ready, the lemon juice should be added in the saucer and mixed thoroughly. The mixture can now be applied to the unwanted hairs on your face and allowed for 20-25 minutes. Wash off after 25 minutes. Repeat as often as necessary.
Egg Mask: Use 1 egg, 1/2 a tablespoon of cornflour, 1 tablespoon of sugar, and a saucer for mixing.
Application: Break the egg and take the white from the egg in a saucer. Add corn flour and sugar to it. Sir the ingredients well and make it a smooth paste. Now apply this as a face mask and allow to dry for 20-25 minutes. Once it dries completely, use a firm hand to peel off the egg mask from your face in a way that the facial hair is also pulled out. Repeat as often as necessary.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of natural home remedies for unwanted hair, there still several of them. Other measures of hair removal include surgical procedures like electrolysis and laser hair removal methods but these are highly expensive.

Can I eliminate these facial/body hairs "PERMANENTLY"?

First off, the most efficient method is the electrolysis, yet it is known that the hairs reappear after some years though not as thick and dark as they were previously. The laser hair removal procedure can last up to a year, so in order to keep yourself looking smooth, it is advisable to undergo this procedure yearly. Other natural methods like waxing, tweezing, threading, sugaring, shaving etc will keep you looking smooth and clean for a variation of 1-2 months depending on the area (face, leg, back, chest etc).

So if you are looking for a way to permanently eliminate facial hair, you'll only be disappointed! Maybe, you should celebrate it instead of trying to get rid of it!

Warning: The reader of this article should exercise all precautionary measures while following instructions on the home remedies from this article. Avoid using any of these products if you are allergic to it. The responsibility lies with the reader and not with the site or the writer.
