Little known Malagasy Football Federation (MFF) president Ahmad Ahmad has been elected the new Confederation of African Football (CAF) president. Ahmad, 57, floored the incumbent Issa Hayatou, 71, by getting 34 votes out of a possible 54. Hayatou, who has lead the continental body since 10th March, 1988 was chasing for a record 8th straight term in office.
