What is new is the screen aspect ratio. Incase you don't know, the commonly used aspect ratio in mobile phones is 16:9. LG G6 uses 18:9 (better-still 2:1). This makes it different from any other phone. A 5.3 inch phone with 16:9 aspect is still 5.3. When 18:9 is used for this same footprint, the ending result will be a 5.7 inch( which is the screen inches of LG G6) because the screen will stretch while still maintaining its width.
