The Acts 1:8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.

The above verse is the very word of Jesus Christ, our Lord and savior.

From basic teaching of the word of God, it has been established that, the very new life in Christ and the kingdom works of a believer, is impossible without the power of the Holy Spirit.

Looking at this doctrine of, "holy Spirit power in medium" ie the use of physical insignia as a medium of impacting the power of the Holy Spirit, i am of the opinion that this doctrine is one of many doctrines, that's blending Christianity with other religions in a rather ridiculous way.

The insignia:

*handkerchief (mantle)
*arm band (bearing GO's picture)
*chaplet (bearing GO's picture)
*olive oil

How is the apparent look and the use of these insignia different from the.....

*chaplet of herbalist and Muslims?
*arm and waist bands of herbalists?

If Jesus could heal the sick boy without physical contact, but by the power of the Holy Spirit via words, why can't we be satisfied with this model?

Happy Sunday!

This is a steadfastly ignored the elephant in the room topic

The NT biblical times unadulterated model was possible because it was principally borne out of faith
and importantly done without any need to merchadise the gospel as goods to be bought and sold for healing
(i.e. no selling whatsoever of shadows, handkerchiefs, arm bands, olive oil, bottled water, chaplets etcetera for healing)

We fail to notice that, in NT biblical times unadulterated model, it were the people, out of faith, who brought the sick into the streets and laying them on cots and mats, so that at least Peter’s shadow might fall on some of them as he passed by and resulting in the sicks getting healed (i.e. Acts 5:15-16)

Neither do we notice, it were people, out of faith, who carried away handkerchiefs or aprons that had touched Paul's skin to the sick, resulting in the sicks' diseases leaving them and the evil spirits coming out of them (i.e. Acts 19:12)

Lastly, also not acknowleged, is that it was the woman with the issue of blood, out of faith, who touched the helm of Jesus' garment, leading to her being made whole and receiving her healing (i.e. Luke 8:43-48)
Again it were the people, out of faith, runing around bringing out the sick on mats just to touch the fringe of Jesus' garment for healing (i.e. Mark 6:55-56)

Jesus, Peter nor Paul never instigated these practices,
it always were people, out of faith, using their initiative, imagination and common sense to tap into raw anointing (i.e. tapping into the power of the Holy Spirit) to receive healing

Jesus, Peter nor Paul never derived financial benefit from the people's practice of touching garment, letting shadow fall on the sick, or the carrying away handkerchiefs or aprons.

As a matter of fact, unlike nowadays where people are exploited,
the people's practice in NT biblical times, were not commercialised upon by Jesus, Peter nor Paul
(i.e. money never exchanged hands for any of Paul's handkerchiefs or aprons, Peter's shadow or for people touching Jesus' garment)

Jesus, Paul and Peter never asked these folks to bring these materials for "impartation", they chose to do that out of their volition.

And after their testimonies, these events were never made into doctrine, as it obtains today.

Did you read this part below?

"But for you who fear my name, the Sun of Righteousness will rise with healing in his wings (i.e. garments)
And you will go free, leaping with joy like calves let out to pasture

- Malachi 4:2

No one needed to be asked to bring materials for "impartation",
because people, as I earlier said, used their using their initiative, imagination and common sense, built on a strong faith foundation to do get healing

The woman with the issue of the blood wasnt told by anyone to touch Jesus
but she chose to do so based on and particularly because of Malachi 4:2 above to obtain her healing

Aquiprsy:
And after their testimonies, these events were never made into doctrine, as it obtains today
What was never made into a doctrine, as it obtains today, is to derive financial benefit(s) from the practice.
What was never made into a doctrine, as it obtains today, is to start exploiting the people's uncommon elan faith of receiving healing in this manner
What was never made into a doctrine, as it obtains today, is to start commercialising such people's practice
(i.e. money was not to be exchanged hands for any of handkerchiefs, aprons, shadows or for people touching garment as it is obtained today)

The doctrine is that the inspiration to do comes from pew and/or the people,
Not be prompted for from the pulpit and/or by the ''pastor'' and especially for sake of money exchanging hands for the experience

I am quite sure the testimony of the woman healed of the issue of blood, would have encouraged others, to emulate what she did or to do similar to what she did

Whats your ''Did you read this part below'' question supposed to mean?
