The PL Match Day 29 fixtures rounded up with many brilliant individual performances, goals and celebrations. Almost every game produced some major talking points with respect to the quality of individual performances, goals, celebrations and the likes. Some players emerged heroes for their sides while some emerged as villains. We have done some checks and arrived at a few classic and not so classic moments of ours from the just concluded fixtures. They are listed below:

Christian Eriksen struck Spurs opener against Southampton. The build up to the goal was superb. A brilliant taken and low placed curler of a shot that gave the 6’7 Fraser Forster no chance even after full stretch
Southampton’s Steven Davis caused his side to go down 2:0 after conceding a penalty which Dele Alli converted. Taking his tally for the season to 14 goals. 11 in his last 12.

Jesse Lingard powered Manchester United to a 2 goal lead with a solo run and devastating belter of a shot to the roof of the net as Valdez stood rooted to the spot. No Goalkeeper can save that! His goal celebration was interesting

Victor Valdez contributed to the villain squad as his indecision caused him to slip and fall, allowing Antonio Valencia to slot in with ease and enable Manchester United to heave a sigh of relief, as Boro were on the ascendency and looked like they could salvage a draw before the incident. The easiest goal ever.

Ward Prowse’s instinctive first touch and finish off a pass from Ryan Bertrand was a joy to watch. Quality goal!

More villains! Fernadinho and Lallana missed sitters that could have guaranteed their sides all 3 points. Terrible misses!

Willian gave Chelsea the lead with a brilliant, cheeky and well improvised free kick. I doubt if anyone saw that coming

Cahill was a villain for much of the game after he caused the penalty that gave Stoke the equalizer. His status changed from villain and zero to hero as he provided the winner and gave Chelsea more cushion at the top of the table

Gael Clichy committed a very poor foul to grant Liverpool a penalty that gave them the lead against City at the Etihad

Leicester’s first goal was an eye sore from a goal keeping perspective although Mahrez and the foxes wouldn’t mind that going in all day long. Randolph’s awareness was very poor for the cross cum shot.

Marc Albrighton provided a brilliant assist with a training ‘goundesque’ looping pass for Robert Huth to head into the net

Lanzini scored a brilliant well taken free kick that gave the goal keeper no chance as he pulled one back for West Ham

Sanchez’ composure and skill on the ball to give Arsenal the equalizer against West Brom after a brilliant assist pass from Xhaka was top notch

Arsenal’s defensive line should make up the villainy back 4 as they were caught napping by center back Craig Dawson on two occasions which resulted in goals for West Brom

Lukaku scored a brace to strengthen his hold on the number 1 spot of the top scorers chart

Troy Deeney’s own goal was disastrous to Watford as it gave Crystal Palace a 1 nil win

Tom Huddlestone and Phil Bardsley played dirty and earned themselves red cards which worked against their teams.

Two brilliant headers from Craig Dawson ensured West Brom grabbed all 3 points at the Hawthorns against Arsenal.

Villains of the week are: Arsenal’s back four, Poor Troy Deeney, Steven Davis, Victor Valdez, Randolph, Tom Huddlestone, Phil Bardsley, Clichy and miscuing masters – Fernandinho and Lallana. We look forward to the next match day.
