National Association of Academic Technologists of Federal University Oye-Ekiti protested the suspension of the payment of their occupational hazard allowance today, taking the peaceful protest March to the office of the Vice Chancellor Prof Kayode Soremekun.

The allowance which has been payed the union for four years running was haphazardly suspended to please other unions (SSANU and NASU) who also protested late last year.

The allowance they protested about is something that has been appropriated for in the 2017 budget.

Hence, NAAT FUOYE is pleading with the Minister of Education, VC FUOYE, Management staff and all concerned to prevail on them to pay the arears owed this peace loving Union.
