Hi,I am posting this on behalf of a friend of mine in Nnamdi Azikiwe University (unizik) awka. We all graduated last year,from the faculty of engineering went for the Xmas holidays but on coming back, he discovered that he had a 200 level course 'F'.He wrote a letter of waiver to the department but was said the faculty only has the right to carry out the waiver since it was a faculty course but yet in other departments, waivers do go on without obstacles. Now, the new Dean of the faculty ''prof. V C Idigo" refused the waiver letter sent to him and infact made a defamatory statements that everyone in his village passes their courses and that there is no room for waiver in the university....So my question is this...Isn't waiver of one course allowed? Should someone be meant to pay a one year school fees because of a 2 unit course? Are university rules not created by humans and can equally be amended ? Does the Dean have the final say? .....Please NL...He really needs advice on what to do because right now he is devastated and lost all hopes.....THANKS as your comments will go a long way....Oga Seun do the needful
