- Governor Okowa of Delta has appointed new rectors for the three state polytechnics - The appointment was contained in a statement made available by secretary to the state government, Festus Agas Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta state has appointed three new rectors for the three polytechnic in the state. The three polytechnics, according to senatorial districts are Delta state polytechnic, Ogwashi Uku in Delta North; Delta state polytechnic, Ozoro in Delta South and Delta state polytechnic, Oghara, the country home of James Ibori in Delta central. The three outgoing rectors, Mrs. Edna Mogekwu, Ogwashi Uku; Jacob Oboreh, Ozoro and Clara Sogbaike, Oghara The newly appointed rectors are Prof. Job Akpodiete as rector for Ozoro polytechnic, Professor Chiemeke Stella as rector for Ogwashi Uku Poly and Prof. Emmanuel Apoyi Opujor as rector for Oghara Polytechnic. Prior to the appointment of the new rectors, Dr. Jacob Oboreh was rector of Ozoro poly, Mrs. Edna Mogekwu was rector of Ogwashi Uku Poly while Mrs. Clara Sogbaike was rector of Oghara polytechnic.
