1:What is solar energy?

Solar energy takes advantages of the sun ray to generate heat or electricity. It is a renewable resource and unique for its ability to generate energy in a quiet, clean, and consistent manner.

Photovoltaic cells convert sunlight to direct current (DC) electricity.
The charge controller charges the battery bank and also regulates the amount of charge to avoid over/under charging of the batteries.
The inverter converts DC electricity into alternating current (AC) electricity needed to run your appliances assembled in your electrical panel.
The electrical panel sends power to your lights and other appliances.

2: How Viable is Solar power?

Solar is the cleanest, greenest and most viable form of energy available. It produces no waste or pollution, does not contribute to global warming. It reduces our reliance on dirty coal-fired electricity, which causes massive amounts of greenhouse gas emissions into the atmosphere

3: What happens at night when solar energy is not being produced?

During daylight hours, energy from the sun is absorbed by the panels; powers your appliances and stores some in the batteries. When the sun goes down, the inverter automatically sources its energy from the battery bank, providing you with a continuous supply of electricity.

4: Is there Running Cost Associated with solar energy?

Once your system is installed, electricity production is completely free.

Power supply has always been a problem. This has driven businesses to acquire portable generators and fuel them at huge costs. Many businesses struggle to stay afloat, raise prices to break even .

Our major value propositions to our customers are lower energy cost, higher reliability, and better environmental responsibility.
Solar provide enough electricity for consumers to be able to operate energy appliances including Light, TV, Fan, Computer, Decoder, Sound System,Laptop,Small Freezer,Scanner,Dvd Players and importantly Nigerian will be able to charge their mobile phones.

The energy provided by the Solar is clean and sustainable and avoids air pollution and CO2 emissions. Eliminating harmful emissions caused by burning kerosene and problems associated with smoke inhalation from generator, Freedom from noisy generators

Buying a solar system is a fantastic investment for homes and businesses. Once purchased, there are zero running costs, low-risk technology, completely silent operation, Green energy, Zero emissions . The panels can last for up to 25 years.

Why You?
Whether you are contractor that is engaged in civil installations, a corporate officer that is tasked with reducing energy related expenses, or the head of a household looking to meet its everyday power requirements
Solar will solve your problems once and for all. Solar solutions will save you money and provide your regular, predictable, stable power. Why look any further?

5: How much maintenance is needed?

The system requires very minimal maintenance. There are no moving parts. The panels may require cleaning every few months, depending on location, to remove any dust on them. However to ensure optimal performance, regular scheduled inspection is advised. Proper care and maintenance will ensure your solar system’s longevity and optimal performance.

6: How affordable is solar power?

Solar power is readily affordable. Recent improvement in the technology have made it significantly cheaper than other sources of electricity generation. The return on investment for a 2kW system on average is less than 1 years. Thus an average family recovers its cost within this period. The more energy you consume, the shorter the payback period.

7: How long does the PV panel last?

The solar panels will last over 25 years. They come with a full 25-year manufacturer’s warranty. With guaranteed performance efficiency of 90% after 10 years and 80% after 25 years.
8: How long does the battery last?

High quality deep cycle batteries with a minimum useful life of 2 years.
9: How long do the inverters last?

The average life of an inverter is 5-10 years, and comes with a 2yrs manufacturers warranty.
10: Which solar power system do I go for?

This depends on your total daily electricity consumption. The more you consume, the bigger the system you will need to power your home or business.

11: How do I know my electricity consumption rate?

To know the specific range, you have to calculate the each wattage of your Appliances i.e the power consumption will be added together on every appliances intending to power with an Inverter.

12 : How much power can the pv panel produce each day?

A 2Kw system will produce between 8kWh and 10kWh of electricity each day. The amount of energy produced by the PV panels is based on the amount of Peak Sunlight hours’ received, per location. In Nigeria as a whole, this ranges between 4 and 6 in the South, to as high as 9 in the North. The higher the peak sunlight hours, the fewer PV panels are required to generate the same amount of energy.

13: Where are the panels installed?

The panels are installed on the roof so they are exposed to maximum amount of sunlight. They can also be ground mount if there is insufficient roof space. The later is most applicable to businesses with large premises that require huge electricity generation.
14: How long will the installation of solar panels take?

Mostly a day or two depending on the time it started and the kind of a system to be installed. however for residential solar installations, depending on the size of your house and the system.

15: How long does it take solar system to go off, when the sun goes off?

Minimum time is 10 hours and it start charging exactly by 6 am in the morning

How solar energy work

Energy which comes from the sun as light is transformed into electricity when it touches a solar panel. This electricity then go through a wire to a battery where it can be used for later use. The more light a solar panel receives, the more electricity comes out of it. A solar panel only generates electricity during daylight and not at night. Since it makes little sense to only have lights running during daytime, a battery is required to store the electricity for use at night.

Analogy with water storage
Drinking water (electricity) can be harvested by collecting water from the roof (solar panel). The water is conducted through pipes (wires) to a drum (battery) where it can be stored for later use. All components are necessary. It makes no sense collecting water (electricity) if there is no drum (battery) since then it can only be used during the rain

Advantages and Disadvantages solar

Advantages Of Solar Power
 Solar energy is a clean and renewable energy source.
 Once a solar panel is installed, solar energy is produced free of charge..
 Solar energy causes no pollution.
 Solar cells make absolutely no noise at all.
 Little maintenance is needed to keep solar cells running. There are no moving parts in a solar cell which makes it impossible to really damage them.
 In the long term, there can be a high return on investment due to the amount of free energy a solar panel can produces.

Disadvantages Of Solar Power
 Solar panels is very expensive to install resulting in a time-lag of many years for savings on energy bills to match initial investments.
 Electricity generation depends entirely on a countries exposure to sunlight; this could be limited by a countries climate.
 Solar power is used to charge batteries so that solar powered devices can be used at night. The batteries can often be large and heavy, taking up space and needing to be replaced from time to time
