Do you have employees who are reluctant to go the extra mile to get the job done?
When employees don’t feel appreciated, they will not go the extra mile. here are 7 ways you can motivate your employees.

Opportunities for career advancement:

One of the top reasons employees leave a company is the lack of development opportunities.
Employees often feel uninspired when their job becomes stagnant. Going too long in the same position,
with no changes or hope for change, will eventually demotivate even the most ambitious employees.
If you offer opportunities for advancement and improvement, your employees will be motivated to work harder.
While not every position has an opportunity for advancement, advancement doesn't always have to come in form of a raise and a new job title. Offering new training or education opportunities for your employees can also help them grow career wise.

Support their new ideas:

You’re not the only one with ideas. Encourage, support, and sometimes even implement the new ideas they have.
Encourage your workers to come up with ideas. Everyone is unique and unpredictable and each with individual
desires and some with complicated ideas.

Pay them well:

Pay them the most you can. Pay them what they’re worth, and pay them when due too.

Upgrade Obsolete Equipments:

Keep the equipments your employees use as close to the cutting edge as you can.
Using the best tools is exciting and instills pride in employees. Don't let them get stuck using obsolete tools.

Offer food in the workplace:

Are good snacks the key to employee retention? Maybe. After all, nobody works well when they’re hungry.
It seems so simple, but sometimes all you have to do to make people happy is to feed them.
Food makes an undeniable difference. When your employer pays attention to your physical needs,
you get the impression that they care about you as a person not just what you can do for the company.

Trust them with challenges:

Give them problems to solve. Show them you trust and respect them enough to lead a project.

Give constructive criticism:

When employees carry out a task assigned effectively, offer reward and recognition. On the other hand,
if they have made mistakes or failed to do a task well, be constructive in criticizing them and avoid putting
them down especially in the presence of other employees.
