What Nigeria needs now is a serious economic reform... Lower the price of some raw material and commodities by almost 70 percent so that lower denominations like 10 and 5 naira would at least have value. Let alone the Kobo; it's obvious the kobo has sauntered into obvious oblivion... Dangote and the likes would be affected, but what is one man to 160 million Nigerians?? Some CBN policies should be checked.. We would survive the wave of it's economic implications, but it would still balance itself out. Forgive me if i sound like a communist... 2 Likes |

I think IMF is manipulative. When you compare America's debt with the value of their currency you cannot but question IMF indices for benchmark. 2 Likes |

Naira is not over valued, the problem is multiple exchange rate, its stupid, let the market determine the value of naira,it will plunge and stabilize at a point, you dont buy fx from iocs at a rate lower and sell to the public at another rate, govt diffirent rate, ofcourse there would be short fall. 1 Like |

We had it all coming, as Yungjeff aligns forces with Indigenous rap star Zoro to bring us this new offering titled ‘Tem Tem’. This is a perfect testament that the young budding Imo State born lyricist is gradually growing in his ranks, and will be commanding some sort of waves in the near future. Zoro brings his experience and smooth flow to this piece and they both do justice on it. You can only tell if you take a listen. The naira needs to be devalued and a committee needs to be set up in Nigeria to regulate the indiscriminate increase of the price of locally made goods. 1 Like |

What a bad economist is that. Your ineffectual buffoon is the real dullardiho. Is now imf is waking up becos the same foolish emefiele follow his old path of defending naira 1 Like 2 Shares |

Jesusloveyou: Defending naira is perfectly right if we have the financial backbone to do that. Presently there is no money much to defend the naira. But defending naira now is necessary for security reason. Government would not like one dollar to be like 800 or 1000 naira. But the most important thing is to wake up and energized the economy. Those senseless apc people are less concern about the masses. Their yearly budget is for themselves only. |

arinzeluke:who stop you ipods to produce, if not you ipods that import oyibo sheet, what wil make the stupid emefiele to defend the naira like what he did under your ineffectual buffoon, which cost us 15b dollars to defend the naira, even when oil was selling above 100 dollars per barrel. 1 Like 1 Share |

Sir, this has little to do with Igbo's. Its impossible for one region to meet Nigeria's demand for anything. But if the igbos are serious, they should tackle their power generation deficit first, to showcase their abilities. Between the people and their govt, this is the issue of greatest importance for industrialization. arinzeluke:At the topic: If the CBN stops pumping dollars into the market, what will happen to the naira? This is a simple indication of the nairas value. |

absoluteSuccess: How can u bring it back to Kobo? How will you do that when you import everything. How can you make such a senseless statement. Experts are talking your moaning. What is the bag of local food including rice, yam , plantain, beans or will you say it is dollars that is affecting it? Or the soil is been imported too? Oil controls Nigeria and once there will be more electric items or product likes cars soon in 10 to 15 years we will loose more as no buyers will come for our oil because it might also be cheap as kisses |

You're clearly not a Christian, so why the moniker? Who's more foolish, they who Imported 'sheet' or those who keep buying it? Wherever you're from, I bet your state boasts of less than 2 manufactured items. Since emefiele is doing the exact same thing. In fact, since buhari now seems to be copying all of gejs policies does that mean buhari is a copycat of an Ineffectual Buffoon? And isn't it just plain stupidity to spend $2 billion in less than 2 months defending the naira? But since buhari has been directing policy from day one? Why would anyone blame emefiele for it? Lastly- 22 months to come up with an economic plan?! Come on, man! Jesusloveyou: 1 Like |
