yes, I thought so but some groups was apposing the statement and was writing the advantages.

I think it might be an argumentative writing. You should have a stance. Basically intro ( also state your stance), argue for your stance, state opposite views and finally discuss why your view is a better + conclusion.

Thats what I understood from the statement. Lets wait for the experts. In the meatime can you clarify from your teacher?

Simple: It is an argument but not a debate. You need to convince him it is so in an article manner not like debate where u start by greeting
