Honda 2004 Eod- Ac System by hayokunleoni(m): 9:46am On Apr 13, 2017 |
Good day guys, Need assistance/ advice on my Honda AC system. Issue: I have a sound EOD engine with faulty AC system. Before, the AC gas usually last 9 months, later it reduced to 6 months and the last filling I did finished within 3 months. Took the car to Oyingbo when I was doing servicing (about May 2015) and met a guy that was referred to as an AC specialist. The dude checked the AC system and told me that I will need to change the entire AC system coz something (cant remember what he called it) was burnt when I was using the AC fan after the gas was finished. Giving that I have another car, i just park the EOD and continue with the other car. . I have driven the car less than 15 times since that time. Now my wife wants to be driving the car consistently and wants the AC fixed. My questions are: how much will it cost to replace the entire AC system for a 2004 EOD. Can it be done perfectly without the initial gas leakage issues reoccurring and where can I get it done during this 4 days holiday within the Surulere/ Yaba axis I stay in Surulere, Lagos. Will expect fantastic answers from all the gurus in the house |

hayokunleoni:Look for a competent AC technician with modern equipment to help you locate the leak and fix this leak once and for all before recharging with refrigerant again. Contact Mosbus (08026941215.) in Isolo (https://www.nairaland.com/3583626/reason-why-important-vacuum-system).He is good ,he help me fix my AC |

honmusa: I bought a Nigerian used EOD 2004 2.4L 4plugs, I serviced immediately after the purchase but after two weeks I discovered engine oil shortage and also the car consumes more fuel than an average eod. I took the car to my regular mechanic and he said I'll need to ring the engine that some parts are old or worn out already & thats the reason for the colored exhaust fumes when I start the car in the morning , he said there's no need to change the whole engine because the car still moves as fast as any other eod, ac is working perfectly and other features are cool.. But I want a professional advance and also cost of ringing and cost of fixing another engine. I also want to know if is possible when changing the car engine to a 2.0L instead of the factory 2.4L engine. Thank you. |

Ojehakeem:You have two issues not related 1.Engine oil shorting which can be due to worn rings and permanent fix is to change engine rather than ringing and is better you swap to same engine capacity inside the car to avoid issues. 2.High fuel consumption :this is due to emssion related issue and you need to have the car scan to have idea what is wrong !!! |
