Hmmm! Sorrow filled Ajike's mind, she had been the only one taking care of her children since her husband died. And now, Aina her only daughter was pregnant for a teenager like her. Ajike had promised the four of them a good life as much as she could try. All the support promised by friends and family when her husband died, was no where to be found. She did all she could, working on her husband's farm as no one strove with her to take her husband property. If any did, the god of his house will strike such.
Ajike did not give his children farm work alone, she gave them opportunity to choose a vocation. So they work in the morning on the farm and learnt their vocation in the evening. What Aina did added to her load but she determined not to allow her dreams over her children to fail. With the support of the mother and other siblings Aina was learning as well as following her mother to the farm. When the pregnancy was advanced, she had little strength to do hard works.
Joy oh Joy! Aina put to bed. The mother rejoice and all friends. As soon as Aina was healthy to work, her mother ensured that she sent her back to where she had being leading hair styling. She put in all she could to learning all she could from her boss. When the baby became one year, the mother took the baby form Aina in other  for her to learn well, and she did not fail her mother. So also her siblings, they put in their best and made their mother feel good. One after the other, the children graduated from their workshop and the mother strove to settle them. She did all in good fate to make her dream come to pass. It wasn't easy.
During these period, Ajike was not at the flying top, she patched buba, she combined two different wrappers, others mocked her. She would not go out to social gatherings, she did not have the reigning cloth to wear. Her mind was stone fixed, her children had to have a place in life. She sweat in cold, her back bent working. They tried to stop her but she moved on, she desire not to raise her back up, if she does, she may be tempted to to keep her back up.
Glory! a mother, the bone of her children's spirit. Victory, all of them got settled. The one most grateful, is Aina. Many of her  mates who had such experience, were neglect by their parents and they became sorry for their lives. She had a life boast of. Akanji, who was responsible for the pregnancy had also gained his stand and made it known to Aina's mother that she was going marry her.
Hummm, the mother sighed, relieved. Her challenge was taken off. She had been worried about her daughter getting married. She became happy about her life.
Her seeds began to fruit, her children began prosper, her cloth began to change, her status began to change. The ones who had not stood for their children, their sun began to go down, as Ajike's own was rising. She stood all the hard days and her ending was soft.
