Alas, after working for 2,5,10, 20 years and above and looking at the people that are ahead of us on the job, the dream we had then died naturally. We only go to job as routine and collect the dead wage we are been paid which can barely feed, transport and pay for the modest shelter we abode.

All the previous dream, zeal and aspirations dead.

For many, the hope to build house, buy car, send kid to good schools and give them good start in life is gone with the wind.
There are also those who have acquired skill over the years but do not have the money to either buy the basic tools or get space in a good location to set up the business. Today, the young ones have seen the sufferings of the parents in spite of their education (sometimes first, second and higher degrees). They have seen the dead wage they receive after serving and working so hard. Some have not even been paid for months.

As a result of their observation, the young ones are not ready to go to school and for those who are, they are not ready to spend 25-35 years of their life serving and earning dead wage. They have taken to vocations such as singing, dancing, stand up comedy, football and some crime.

You hear of gang of robbers comprising both male and female in their early twenties or lesser. They would rather rob and start something worthwhile rather than waste their life receiving dead wage.

Moreover, the country is in a recession. Lotteries, gambling are the order of the day.

Everybody is in silent desperation hoping that one day they will get lucky.

It is a vicious circle which seems endless.

The politicians are busy looting the treasury. They have made billions and can buy the whole country individually but have refused to take a bow and handover to the person that will take the country out of the mess we are in.
