Our client, a fast growing enterprise in the furniture design and manufacturing sector is in need of an accounting/Finance officer, who will be responsible for maintaining the company’s financial, and accounting function in other to support operations and meet regulatory requirements.

Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Document financial transactions by entering accurate account information.
Manage receivables and payables.
Perform periodic reconciliation of stock, bank transactions and cash payments.
Recommend financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Administer payrolls and control income and expenditure
Audit general financial information
Compile and present reports, budgets and financial statements.
Provide tax planning with reference to current legislation/ regulations.
Preparations, filling and maintenance of payment vouchers
Prepare and post invoices.
Raising of journals for sundry creditors, overhead creditors, provisions, accrual etc. store keeper on stock taking and records.
Any other accounting activity that may be assigned.


Job Requirements

To perform this job successfully, the following are required:

Candidate must possess B.Sc. or HND in Accounting/Finance or related fields.
Minimum of 3 years work experience
Be not more than 35 years old.
Be Smart
Have very good numeric skills
Computer literate and able to use ERP or accounting softwares such as Peachtree.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Confident and firm
Focused, with eyes for details.
Self-motivated
Have integrity
Possess good business acumen and interest
Have very good organisational skills and ability to manage deadlines
Enjoys working with people and in teams.
Fluent in English language.
Admirable communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be resident in Oregun Ikeja or its environs.
