I was driving along Apata axis of the ancient city of Ibadan..when I suddenly noticed a vintage Mercedes Benz carefully parked by the road side. I really can't say if the car was driven to that spot. But, I'm sure twasn't there a month ago. Holla if u're interested in its precise location.

W114 Mercedes Benz.



It was made between 1968-1976, but it was still very popular in Nigeria up till the late 1980s (the limousine version was popular into the 1990s). Nigerians regarded it as a "very strong car".

It was succeeded by the W123 Mercedes Benz (known as the "Regular Mercedes" or "U Boot" in Nigeria).

This car is one of the predecessors of the E-Class (its bigger brother, the S Class, was the W108 Mercedes Benz).
