My house mate just got a new pet python. It is an African ball python, which according to wikipedia, is revered by the igbo people of Nigeria

grin Worst that can happen, he will get a bite same as you will get with a dog or a cat.. its not venomous, though I won't be housing one, I believe snakes are better of left in there habitat..

...Lolz especially those that died of snake bite their rice dey get curry well well...why on earth will u keep a snake as pet...beta leave them in their habitat..

It's a non-venomous python. It can't kill. We have a lot of them in our side. No one kills it. If you do, prepare to do a funeral.

Non-venomous doesn't mean it don't kill. Most big snakes are not venomous, but yet...
