I'm currently buying a 2008 Toyota camry full option xle for about 4.5m with a millage of 50k Please i need the following advise 1) is the price okay for a 2008 ride 2) is it advisable to buy a keyless entry ride 3) what is the disadvantage of a keyless entry Please help me ride Gurus Thank you |

kenx1: It's a bit on the high side for a 2008 car. You will get a 2010/2011 XLE for just about that price. Although, the fact that it's an XLE, if the mileage is actually 50k then, it will be expensive but not necessarily up to ₦4.5 mil. But mind you, if it has a clean vin report, it will be costlier than what you have in dealers' shops which are either salvaged, flood or cars with odometer rollback. First, get the vin report if it turns our good and you like the car, then negotiate the price further down. Don't be swayed by people's opinion on cost. Lastly, there's a huge difference in price between a car with a clean vin report and it's counter parts sold for strictly business reasons in Nigeria and which will give you a nightmare of troubles as a car owner. |

U see how unscrupulous our dealers can be. Mileage as at Feb 2016 was 165k miles. This is April 2017 and mileage is 50k miles. They can't even roll back with sense. The price is too high. Max should be 3.5m since its xle. Always run a VIN check. 2 Likes |

If the mileage is really 50k and it's a clean title, then the price is about right. The VIN report shows this is a clean title car and all owners used it as personal vehicle. But the mileage is a real fraud. From 165k to 50k... Wtf. |

chukel: Personally, I will not consider buying the car because the odometer fraud let alone buying it ₦3.5 mil. 165k mileage is not so high that the dealer cannot sell it with a reasonable profit but due to greed he rolled the mileage back so as to rip off an unsuspecting buyer. If I were op, I will walk away from the deal. Buy a car with the actual mileage so that maintenance is easy for you. 2 Likes |

greenhulk:even if it's clean title, there must be a reason why an 8yr old car had 3 owners in its 8yr life in the US. That is not a good history. A clean title and the last owner dumped it off at auction for sale. There must be something wrong. Personally I won't buy. But I'm telling the OP that he can get a good 08 xle for about 3.5m. I hope op isn't part of the people that always look for a less than 60k mile in a 10yr old car. Cos we are ignorantly so brainwashed by mileage in this country. 2 Likes |
