Many of these oil & telecomm companies claiming that they're giving out scholarships are deceiving Nigerians.
They outline series of conditions that cant be met by poor Nigerians who hav the ambitions 2 acquire tertiary education. Scholarship is supposed 2 be meant 4 handicapped class of people from extremely poor background but this not the case in 9ja.
Imagine a brilliant newly admitted student who does not even have money to pay an acceptance fee of over 40,000 let alone his school fees. Scholarships are supposed 2 be meant 4 such class of people but how can they even compete when the rules of eligibility given by the organisers say that u must be a full time undergraduate, have ur school i.d card, + other strict conditions 2 disqualify the poor children who have only their admission letter 2 prove they've been admitted. A scholarship whose eligibility disqualifies this class of people. Who are they meant 4?
