From my observations and findings it seems that Ijaw tribe of Nigeria is a tribe that over time some of its community/people have become a members of another nigerian tribe due to their carefree attitude. It seems they pay less importance to the use of their mother tongue preferring to learn and communicate with a sojourners language than teaching their language to the latter. Just found out that Uwheru clan of d Urhobo is supposed to b brothers to Amassoma,Otuan n others in d Ogboin clan of d Ijaws. Anybody knows more other non-ijaw speaking communities dat used to b ijaws? Source spynews.com/Utso-we are set to turn uwheru around 1 Like |
