The decision to study up to Postgraduate level has always been up to different individuals. Whether it is for personal development, fulfillment, promotion on the job, to become a researcher or consultant of some sort or to go lecture now or after retirement from active public/private service the decision is up to individuals. Different strokes for different folks they say.

No matter your own decision, it would be very important to take away a few useful tips just before you fill that PG form. I believe you know thousands of people apply for PG every year but only very few (around 25%) are admitted for dearth of space as stipulated by Nigerian University Commission (NUC) or based on performance in the PG entrance exam or what have you. Of course you know Unilag is the University of first choice and the nation's pride hence there are tonnes of applicants even for a mere Certificate Programme let alone PG Programme. A number of factors are responsible for this drive but this is not our focus here in this post.
