Job Title: Preschool Head teacher (Early Child Development)
Location: Lagos

Job Description
She will under the direction of the Child Care Director work for Cindy Oaks will be responsible for the development, coordination, planning, administration, supervision, and delivery of the Preschool age Child Care program.

Essential Functions
1. Evaluate the curriculum progressively and ensure implementation of the program with comprehensive lesson plans and necessary materials to ensure quality and innovation.
2. Full time Classroom management as well as maintain control while serving as a role model with clear rules for safety and mutual respect
3. Ensure proper communication with academic and non- academic staff while maintaining control and supervision.
4. Maintain communication with parents – on notifications, news, upcoming events, etc. keep them apprised of daily classroom activities and/or child(ren)’s progress.
5. Maintain accurate classroom records and emergency contact information, maintain confidentiality of information provided by parents, staff and administration.
6. Prepare, monitor and maintain school calendar while ensuring strict adherence- send reminders as at when due.
7. Display a positive attitude that is conducive to good public relations.
8. Deep Knowledge of Child care Regulations, Cindy Oaks procedures, rules, regulations, and guidelines.
9. Obtain and maintain International and Nigerian Child care standards
10. Excellent presentation of Cindy Oaks brand in clothing and in proper identification at all times.
11. Expand job knowledge and skills by demonstrating a willingness to learn and impact knowledge on team
12. Conduct and organise school events, staff training, workshops, meetings as may arise
13. Perform quality checks and audit quarterly to ensure educational materials are in good condition or adequate and that standard is up to date.
14. Suggest, organize and conduct staff training and workshops for the entire Cindy Oaks Team
15. Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
The incumbent must
1. Have a Bachelors degree in any discipline
2. A minimum of an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or Montessori(0-3,3-6) AND two years direct experience working with children ages 3 to 5 years, including two years in a supervisory capacity..
3. Bring to this position maturity, responsibility, and a sincere interest in working with children.
4. Have very strong interpersonal, communication, preschool coordination and organization skills.
5. Computer literacy in the use of Windows-based programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook preferred.

Job Title: Infant Teacher (Creche Head )
Location: Lagos
The Infant Class Teacher is responsible for the care, supervision and management of a class of Infants (6 wks-12 months age). In accordance with the goals and curriculum plan of Cindy Oaks Preschool, she will conduct focused observations of the children in her care, develop action plans, carry out activities on a daily basis and evaluate the effectiveness of child development activities, ensure the safety and well-being of the children, maintain regular communication with parents, and contribute to the effective operation of Cindy Oaks. The Infant Teacher reports to the Director and Head Teacher.
Essential functions
1. Plan and conduct an effective child development program to meet the physical, social, emotional and intellectual needs of each child. This should be done based on the goals and general curriculum plan of Cindy Oaks.
2. Ensure that all child care routine and transition activities are carried out in a manner that is prompt, hygienic, and consistent with excellent child development principles. This includes routines related to diapering, hand washing, eating, napping and transitioning between activities.
3. Ensure the safety of children through constant supervision, effective arrangement of space, and proper maintenance of equipment and materials
4. Operate the classroom in compliance with all child care licensing standards, and Cindy Oaks Employee and Policy Handbooks.
5. Create an open, friendly, and cooperative atmosphere in which children and families feel comfortable, happy and secure.
6. Provide experiences that promote individual expression through conversation, play and Creativity.
7. Provide a variety of language and memory stimulating games and activities.
8. Provide parents with adequate information about their child's experiences at the center through daily contacts, constant communication and regularly scheduled parent conferences.
9. Maintain written records/reports designed to evaluate each individual child.
10. Promote and nurture parent-child bonding and relationships.
11. Greet infants and their parents warmly and with enthusiasm daily – morning and at the end of the day
12. Initiate classroom activities daily via sing-a-longs, art projects, sensorial exploration and outdoor stimulation
13. Display children’s creative art work on bulletin board, changing monthly (when age appropriate).
14. Provide daily care individually to each infant, including but not limited to diapering every 3 hours and feeding on demand.
15. Observe children to detect signs of illness, injury, abuse, neglect, emotional disturbance, or other special needs, and report these signs immediately to the Director and/or headteacher
16. Use equipment and supplies safely and conscientiously, keeping physical environment clean and orderly.
17. Maintain confidentiality of child and family information at all times.
18. Contribute to the operation of the center by participating in staff meetings and sharing information gained through attendance at workshops and professional reading.
19. Work as a member of a team to ensure continuity and high quality standard in all classrooms in the center.
Requirements
The incumbent must
• Have a Degree in child development or early education and at least one year of experience teaching in a part-day or full-day program for infants and toddlers; OR
• A child development associate certificate and at least three years of experience teaching a part-day or full-day program for infants and toddlers.
• Must have a warm and supportive attitude and disposition toward working with children and their families.
• Must be reliable and flexible in receiving assignments or adapting to changes in the program.
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Music and art skill is an added advantage

Job Title: Class Teacher (Position 1: Lower PlayGroup. Position 2: Upper Play Group )
Location: Lagos
Guide children (1-21/2 years) in Montessori and Early Years activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth. Reports to Director and Head Teacher
Essential Functions
1. Welcome children and parents enthusiastically at the beginning and end of the day with a warm smile.
2. Prepare lesson plans according to the School Procedure, policies and curriculum
3. Provision of a variety of creative and self made materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
4. Teach basic skills such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills.
5. Establish and enforce rules for behavior, and procedures for maintaining order.
6. Read books to entire classes or to small groups and promote reading habits
7. Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips.
8. Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health.
9. Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems, and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists.
10. Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development.
11. Attend to children's basic needs by feeding them, dressing them, and changing their diapers.
12. Prepare reports on children and their activities as required by administration.
13. Select, store, order, issue, and inventory classroom equipment, materials, and supplies.
14. Be available for staff meetings and contribute to the successful operation of Cindy Oaks
Requirements
The candidate must have
• NCE or a Degree in child development or early education and at least one year of experience teaching in a part-day or full-day program for infants and toddlers; OR
• A child development associate certificate and at least three years of experience teaching in a part-day or full-day program for infants and toddlers..
• Ability to use Microsoft & internet is essential
• Any form of Phonics training is an advantage
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Music, Arts and/or Swimming, Gardening skills is an added advantage

Job Title: Child Minder/Care Giver – Part Time
Location: Lagos
Essential Functions
1. Listen to children and interpret their words and actions in order to determine their needs and aids
2. Keep children engaged during non- school hours with educational activities, games and sing a long songs.
3. Report, Record and Communicate concerns about a child to the Head Teacher
4. Communicate throughout the work hours with parents, children, support staff, the general public and administrators
5. Attend to personal needs of the children – feeding, diapering, dressing and cleaning them
6. Teach social skills – Greeting, eating habits, social etiquette, sneezing and coughing in public, washing hands after toilet use, general personal hygiene etc
Requirements
• Matured female (25yrs and above only)
• With a minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a nanny or child minder.
• Minimum qualification is WAEC
• Good spoken English, Strong management, Attention to detail and listening skills
• Good communication skills, love for children, warm and receptive personality
• Ability to learn and improve on the job

Job Title: Security Guard
Location: Lagos
The security guard is the face of the organization and promotes the brand. He is also responsible for the overall security of the staff, pupils, equipment and materials. He reports directly to the Director and Head Teacher.
Essential Functions
1. Welcome all parents and visitors politely and smartly while greeting the children warmly.
2. Inspection of buildings, equipment, and access points; entry permission.
3. Keep abreast security Issues and happenings in the vicinity and around the world
4. Report immediately to the School Head Teacher and Director all security and life threatening activities observed or reported.
5. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers.
6. Controls and directs traffic when school children and parents are crossing, parking or dropping in.
7. Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures.
8. Ensure proper sign in and sign out of all parents and visitors. Visits must be communicated appropriately to the Reception personnel on duty before admittance.
9. Proper and complete dressing at all times – communicate the brand of the school effectively in actions and words.
Requirements
• Male (24yrs and above only)
• With a minimum of 1 years’ experience working as Security Guard.
• Minimum qualification is WAEC
• Good spoken English and Strong observation skills
• Good communication skills.
• Gardening skill is an added advantage

Job Title: Enrollment Advisor/ Reception Administrator
Location: Lagos
The Enrollment advisor/receptionist serves as the face of her employer. She is the first person met after the security personnel and must be capable of driving the brand of the company effectively. Although this is an entry-level role, the receptionist needs a great deal of skill to perform the many tasks.
Essential Functions
1. Welcome all parents, children and visitors enthusiastically with a warm and endearing smile
2. Have good knowledge of the school’s policies, procedures and rules and should be able to communicate same effectively to prospective and existing parents.
3. Answer courteously basic questions from visitors. Screen and answer calls pleasantly while routing them to their proper recipient - taking and relaying messages as needed
4. Respond to mail enquiries while routing and escalating complaints to the appropriate channel
5. Provides first information to prospects and gives advise on enrolment of ward
6. She may drafts correspondence, prepare financial spreadsheets and create presentations.
7. She manages the calendars of senior team members, as well as assist in organization of publicity jingles and adverts.
8. She orders office supplies, files documents, makes photocopies and sends and receives important courier packages.
9. She may also perform light bookkeeping tasks and would perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
• Presentable female (20yrs and above only)
• With a minimum of 1 year’ experience working in a similar role
• Minimum qualification is WAEC
• Good spoken English and Strong observation skills
• An Excellent communicator with strong administrative skills
• She also must comfortably interact with individuals of all professional levels.
• Maintain good and presentable dress sense at all times
• Social Media knowledge and management is an added advantage
