It is always advisable to take so precautions before you plan to ride your machine in rainy weather as there are several factors that will not only affect the performance of the bike but will also make riding unsafe. Some of the serious issues that surface in rainy weather include slippery roads, pot holes, stagnant water, corrosion etc.

5 Most Important Safe Riding Tips For Rainy Season
Your bike has a number of parts which you need to take care of so we will discuss a couple of tips which you can follow:

1)The most important of all the is to get your bike serviced timely. You would never want your bike to stall in heavy rains so better not miss routine servicing and check-ups.

2)The next most crucial part of your bike is the brakes which should be in good condition. Worn out pads or liners reduce the efficiency of the brakes and can lead to disaster.
If your bike has drum brakes, get them cleaned from the inside and also replace the brake shoes/pads.
For disc brakes do get the discs checked and also verify the level of brake oil.

3)After talking about brakes, it’s the tyres which play a very important role. You cannot use bald or worn out tyres in rainy season, so if the rubber is worn off, get the tyres replaced. The treads on a tyre provide grip and disperse water so make sure the treads are deep enough and are not only in the centre position but on the sides as well. A minimum of 2-3 mm of tread depth is necessary.

4)Tyre pressure also makes a big difference when driving on wet surface so regularly check the tyre pressure and we recommend keeping it a little less than the recommended Tyre pressure (PSI) levels in dry conditions.

5)Lubricate all the necessary hinges and levers so that they move freely

6 Most Important Motorcycle / Bike Care Tips
1)If you drive your bike too much in the rain and are concerned about its colour getting faded, get a Teflon coating before the beginning of monsoons.

2)Another advise is to wear knee pads and a helmet and also a waterproof jacket.

3)If you have a bike which has an uncovered drive chain, then you must oil it properly and wash it as a lot of mud will get deposited when you will ride it.

4)When you stop your bike for a purpose or want to park it, make sure you park it under a shed and not under the shade of a tree.

5)If the parking area near your house is not a covered one, do cover your bike with a proper sized cover so that the components does not get corroded.

6)Once you reach your place after a dirty ride, do not forget to wash your motorcycle.

The No1 thing to do when you fire up that baby is to warm up your tires evenly, don't just zoom of heating one point of the tire...do a side to side sway before hitting your desired speed.
