http://io9.com/5442321/90-percent-of-languages-will-be-extinct-next-century The author is basically saying that there's no intrinsic value in preserving dying languages in an artificial way. Basically, that it's a waste of time and we'd only be doing it to feel better through preserving cultures/language. What do you all think? Would it be worth it to preserve our native languages in Nigeria if they start (or continue) dying? |
