WHAT IS FONREG AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

Fonreg is a platform which enables members to register Lost or Stolen Mobile Phones to prevent the Trade of stolen phones.
All Phones registered as Lost or Stolen are forwarded to the Law Enforcement agencies.

HOW IT WORKS:

If you buy a phone, you can ask the mobile phone dealer to help you register it with Fonreg, or you register it yourself by going to fonreg.com.ng. If the phone gets lost or stolen, all you need to do is to change the STATUS of your fonreg account then fonreg will add your IMEI number to the DATABASE OF STOLEN and LOST phones.

ANOTHER WAY IT WORKS: When you want to buy a phone, you can quickly check the IMEI number of the phone on fonreg.com.ng to see if the phone has been reported as stolen or lost phone, this can keep you from buying a stolen or a lost phone.
