An Okada rider has been left injured in a fatal road accident on Wednesday morning.

The accident happened along the ever busy Ikeja-Along bustop on the Lagos-Abeokuta expressway.

The accident involved a Toyota Camry, a commercial danfo bus and an Okada.

The driver of the car who was said to be on top speed had stopped abruptly but was hit by the danfo behind. He was said to have lost control and climbed the median. In the process, the car hit an Okada coming from the other side of the road.

The car was stopped from crossing to the other side of the road by the BRT sign post erected on the median.

The rider was seriously injured and has been taken to the Lagos State University Teaching Hospital, Ikeja.

The driver of the car was, however, not hurt, while the damaged car has been towed into the Ikeja Local government.
