Tesla is a motor making company named after Nikola Tesla – (famous electric scientist and inventor of electric vehicles) and founded in 2003 and incorporated as Tesla motors in the Silicon Valley by two engineers namely, Martin Eberhard and Marc Tarpening. The motive beind the establishment was to manufactured electric cars and prove to the world that electric cars could be better than gasoline powered cars.

In 2004, Elon Musk joined the Tesla’s board of directors as its chairman, while Eberhard remained the CEO of the company. Musk acted as the controlling investor in Tesla from by first financing round and funding the large majority of the series A capital investment of about $7.5 million with his personal funds. Thus Tesla held onto its primary goal of commercializing electric vehicles and it started with the manufacturing of premium sport car aimed at early adopters and then moving rapidly as possible into more mainstream vehicles, including sedans and affordable compacts for the mass market, serving as a catalyst to accelerate the day of electric vehicles in the world.

Today, Tesla car’s owners are enjoying the benefit of charging their cars in the comfort of their homes. So they never have to visit a fuel station or spend a cent on gasoline. No doubt, Tesla is not just an automaker, but a technology and design company with focus on energy innovation.

1. Tesla made it first 100 electric cars within a month
Did you know the automobile company actually manufactured its first 100 electric cars within a month? The first sets of 100 Tesla Roadsstar electric vehicles were made within a month with each costing as high as $100,000 dollars per vehicle.

2. Tesla cars built in softwares like smartphones and other similar gadgets

The formations and configuration of every car produced by Tesla motors uses some form of software, and can be changed or upgraded by simply updating the software. Pretty much like Smartphone or similar device. Isn’t that cool?

3. The car has no Ignition Key

With the model S of the Tesla car, you need not worry about starting your car, or putting off the engine. Sound ridiculous right? All you need do as a driver is to get in with the key – shaped prettymuch like a mini model S, then sit down, relax, close the door and the car will automatically turn itself on. And to turn off the engine, it will go into sleep mode like a computer, after you park and get out of the car gently. Amazing!


4. The parking sensors show you how fear you are from obstacles in inches.

Parking sensors re one of the biggest innovation of motors in this century, but while most other cars sensor are programme to make a bleep sound as one approaches obstacles or make some sort of display go green, yellow or red; the Model S of the Tesla takes it to another level of displaying the distance of the obstacle in inch by inch.

5. The model S was the first electric car to ever receive the motor trend’s car of the year award – one of the most popular in the automobile industry.
The model S of the Tesla won this award unanimously in 2013, and aside this, motor trend COTY award, the yahoo auto award, as well as the title for the most successful public company in 2013 by the Wall Street Journal and a whole lot of positive reviews from different blogs all around the world.

6. Tesla cars comes with a user friendly mobile app.

The Tesla motor mobile app, which allows you to control and monitor your car from your smartphone. It allows you to unlock and start the car without a key, pre heat or cool it and locate the car if you forgot where you parked.

7. Tesla cars can’t be bought at a dealership store.

Tesla cars aren’t sold in dealership shops like the other conventional cars. You can only buy a Tesla car at a designated Tesla store.

8. The door handles draw back into the Car’s body automatically.

Still with the model S, the door handles are embedded in the side of the door. They smoothly glide out with the touch of a hand, then automatically retract after you have closed the door. This are done to facilitate a smooth, aerodynamic drive

9. It has the owner’s manual saved in its memory.

No car needs a manual more badly like the model S, with so many high tech nobs and functions in the car,but there’s no long scripted instructions on this car. Instead, all the required info you need as a driver is stored in the car’s memory, and can be accessed in the centre console. Though there is also a paper version of the manual for manual reading savvy drivers.

10. The charger port door shuts automatically.

The car charge ports opens when you touch it, once you’re done, unplug the charger cable and the port will shortly itself.
