This doesn't sound good to me. What does it mean to provide a "satisfactory" answer to the question of how you got the money in your possession? What does satisfactory mean, and who adjudged that.? The illiterate abokki animals in the DSS or what?

What the law says about travelling with undeclared money in excess of $10, 000 is that you would forfeit it to the government, not that you would be detained in prison and given a ridiculous bail... Especially when there is no evidence that the money is proceeds of crime.

Besides, since when did it become the duty of the DSS to handle this kind of matter?

You don't know how I'm boiling now. It is annoying. You can't arrest someone and start asking stupid questions about the source of the money.... And then when the person tells you the source, you unilaterally declare that his explanation is "unsatisfactory". What the Bleep?

Nobidy owes anybody an explanation about how he got his money (except when he is charged to court for obtaining it through illegal means, the he can explain to the COURT how he got it as evidence of his innocence).
